CONTENUR UK were one of a limited number of waste industry suppliers exhibiting at the high profile LARAC Conference 2018.
The LARAC Conference is the leading event in the local authority waste and recycling calendar.
Welcoming more than 400 attendees, of which around 250 are from local and central government, the event spans across two days providing a wealth of ideas and encouragement and promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing between authorities.
With recycling back on the national agenda in a big way, this year's LARAC conference aimed to tackle not only the big topics of plastics, DRS and coffee cups but will also get down to earth with sessions on food waste through to flats provision.
Neil Kavanagh, Bob James and Marcus Machell, from the CONTENUR UK team, attended the show and were very positive about the event. Neil said: ‘This is our 3rd year at the conference and year on year more councils recognise our presence and are talking to us about their waste container needs and underground refuse systems. A great show’.
The Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee exists to support Waste and Recycling Managers within local government across the country. It helps members share best practice on all aspects of waste management and to influence central government on waste and recycling policy decisions for the benefit of all users.
