On the 26th and 27th of September, the sales team in Poland held an event for the sector attended by the country’s main players in the area of waste management. It took place in the Polish city of Mielec, located in the south-east end of the country, where CONTENUR has had its own production centre since 2012.
The programme of events was split into several stages. During the first stage, the clients were given a reception by the sales team, where they were able to talk to each other over lunch. The second stage was more technical, those present being invited to visit the production centre. A total of 55 clients with different professional backgrounds attended from various locations in the country and they were all able to see the Mielec Plant for themselves.
The visit lasted for two hours and was divided into three distinct parts, the first of which focused on the quality and recycling area, where not only was the injection process explained to the clients, but also the types of machinery that CONTENUR uses in its manufacturing process.
The second part focused on how CONTENUR specialises in container accessories for recycling the five fractions. The clients had time to chat and discuss the way in which the Polish market has been specialising and developing in recent years and how this has led to increasingly complex products being required. The clients could also see containers with different capacities and diverse accessories, such as; forklift trucks, manual-locking devices, pedals, hot stamping in a variety of colours at the front and rear of the containers, as well as the different types of openings for waste disposal, etc.
The final part involved the clients observing a series of quality tests being conducted to check the products’ strength and durability.
The programme came to its conclusion with a dinner for everyone and entertainment provided by the Polish comedian Tomasz Jachimek, who succeeded in making his audience laugh for an hour.
Organising a sectoral event at this level is
CONTENUR Poland’s response to the initiative of promoting and simplifying the
creation of a space to enable the professionals in the sector- including
recyclers, manufacturers, technicians and Local Councils- to exchange ideas,
establish contacts and interact. The main aim of such an event is to ensure
that all those involved are aware of the importance of recycling and properly
managing the country’s waste.
